Thanks for your help guys. I think I have it figured out. Watts new stainless crimp rings fit over the old 13mm tube, so I'll just use 1/2" pex couplings and run 1/2" roth tubing between where they saw cut the floor. You guys are the greatest!!!!!! Chip

    14mm tubing

We are doing a remod, and someone cut through a boat load of the old 14 mm Stadler tubing. I need about 14 couplings and about 15-20 foot of tubing to repair it. Anyone have any floating around the shop???? I might be able to come up with the couplings, but I doubt I'll find any of the tube. Suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance, Chip

    Pipe expander

We have hundreds of jobs done with Joe's Stadler metric tubing. When we have to modify it or re-pipe it we use our Wirsbo pipe expander and re-size it to the next standard size up, use an insert fitting with a copper crimp ring. If the pipe starts to split we just heat it up with a heat gun and we're golden...

    Chip,

I've run into this a few times. Viega's 1/2" tube is just about the same size. The 1/2" fittings WILL go over the 14mm pex, if you shave the outer coating off with the Fostapex prep tool, the ferrels slip right on and the nuts are big enough to slip over the tubing. The prep tool takes off so little, you'll be amazed that it didn't just slide right on!

The old tubing with the orange lines is what I usually run into, and it's been holding for quite a few years with no problems. Good luck. Chris
