Water Level in Steam Boiler Gets TOO high
Walter Schwartz
Member Posts: 1
I have a Weil-McLain EGH series steam boiler. The water level starts out about one inch above the low water cut off sensor. After boiler fires up, going on and off during the course of a 24 hour time period, the water level gets to be too high. Water level will be at very top of sight glass.
I then drain out excess water to bring it back to the proper level. The automatic water feeder is at the factory setting, which is the longest delay time. Is there any way to remedy this?
Also where should the proper settings be for the pressuretrol
switch that has a additive differential? (Honeywell PA404A)

Either
a leaky bypass valve or a leaking feeder. If the boiler has a hot-water coil (to heat hot faucet water), it might be leaking as well.
