As I sit enjoying my morning coffee I can't help but feel sorry for the robins who seem to always come back in March. Obviously their internal weather forecasting is about as reliable as ours. We had 14" of snow last week and worm hunting is difficult at best.

They seem to like it next to the house which makes sense if the ground was unthawed (which it isn't) Giving it a closer look I noticed that our robins are into the green movement.

They wait for the on demand water heater to off cycle, then they go to the 3'x3' area that is unthawed by the exhaust and find worms. Hopefully they are discreet and selfish because the last thing I need is 500 robins congregating under the exhaust from my Takagi.

Is there a special category for this in our tax code? I am hurting for deductions this year and listing these robins as dependents would sure help.

I thing everyone here in Wisconsin is ready to promote the "Green Movement" as in "Will this winter from hell ever end?"
