    How about

a small storage tank, a circulator, an aquastat, and a tempering valve? :)

An HTP Super-Stor Coil booster is a great way to store hot water and buy you time. If you get a regular Super-Stor with a hydronic heat exchanger that can set you up for future sources such as solar or a water or ground source heat pump.

    pre heat

with solar storage in front of tankless. If no solar yet. At the very least you would have warmer, perhaps room temps stored in tank before unit, making the temperature rise smaller for the tankless, resulting in increased GPMs
