Rich,
You need to take into account the main loop sizing, gpm and water temp.
If not you'll have uneven heating.

Monoflo T and Contunious Loop
Is there any problem combining diverter T and loop piping?
I am planning to install a contunious loop for HWBB and a couple legs with mono T's for emitters with TRV's. Or would it be better to just use the loop and have a bypass around those emitters? Thanks0 -
none
that I can think of, it's done all the time in the form of toe kick heaters. Would be good if the monoflo's are nearer the last part of the loop, but if not, no biggie.0 -
the one problem...
would be thr trv's... when they close you will only have 1/2" flow. you need some type of bypass. W/ the panle rads they have a diverter valve that screws on to the bottom of the rad hookup...kpc0 -
If the "emitters with TRVs" are cast iron you can expect the worst.0 -
planning to have
the heeaters will be mostly HWBB and a one small panel radiator, I was planning on using 1" main and have a mod/con using 150 deg water, I'll be heating about 2000sf my heat loss is about 60k. Thanks0
