    short water heater

Afew years ago I saw a natural gas hot water heater in a crawl space that was about 3 ft tall. Now I need one on a job and do not know who makes them. Anyone know of a name brand?

    GSW used

to make a 20 gal gas fired unit about 3' tall. I did a job where I did 3 in parallel to get 60 gal. worked great

Do you have a furnace or a boiler as a heat source ?
If you have a Boiler ,How about a Indirect ? Heattransfer makes a superstor that is very short.(Installed one a week ago)
If you have a older furnace and it time to change it anyway how about a Hydro air system with domestic H2o production.
Or you can install electric stubby Waterheaters.
as per you orig. question , I think some of the stubby waterheaters have been discontinued ,I think they were not very efficient!

I think most manufacturers stop making short (lowboy) gas water heaters when the flame guard models became mandatory.
The lowest ones I have found where 50" for a 40 gal.

    short heater

The customer has an old steam system and an old boiler, also lots of underground springs in basement so boiler and water heater are prone to flooding.I think the real short heaters are a thing of the past. I might look at at a gas on demand heater . Thanks for your help

triangle tube makes one model phase III stainless steel indirect water heater that is horizontal and you can mount it high up on the wall and run it off the boiler.

    check it out at www.triangletube.com
