Roth oil tank pros out there?

I was aksed to look at this 4-tank set up; a couple of the tanks are blowing oil out the top and saturating the top of the tank. I may want to present a price to individually pipe the 4 tanks (the supplies).
The original installer connected the oil line/return piping with some 1/2" OD copper. It's just a few inches in length before it turns to black mal. Is that OK? The one thing that isn't appealing is one connection is compression, the other end is flare. This is on all 4 tanks, x2, so 8 flares and 8 comp joints.
Thanks,
gary

You
have to follow Roth specs on multiple tank installs.I avoid return lines, there's nothing good about them, use a deaerator.

Agreed
Stay away from 2 pipe and multiple tanks.
And make sure that the Roth vent alarm is used. The regular type sit too high in the tank and can result in over fills. Bottom line - use all Roth parts.
A call to Roth is also a good idea. I have gotten very good tech support from them.0 -
Question about equalizing
I recently went to a home that has 3 Roth tanks piped together . Looks like there were leak on the pickup aseemblies at one point .
Would all the tanks draw down at the same amount if regular oil line was used and teed together above the tanks ? Would the oil line runs between the tanks have to be the exact same to draw an even amount from all 3 ? I noticed with the Roth assembly the tank nearest the oil burner had slightly less fuel than the other 2 .0
