I know that everyday we are asked to help someone

I just thought I would pass this along as their are so many here on The Wall that are wiling to help others.

I have a friend who I went thru high school with. I live in a small town so you know everyone. Teresa has no children of her own and adopted first one and then a second Chinese girl. They are beautiful children who have adapted very well to their new home.

Unfortunatly about two years after the arrival of her second daughter Teresa was diagnosed with incurable type of cancer. I am not aware of the type but we have all watched her valiant fight. It is heartbreaking to see these two girls find a happy life only to soon loose their adoptive mother.

Teresa has contacted one of the agencies that grants wishes for people in this position and asked that she travel to China with her to daughters. She was told that the funds where not available at this time but maybe later. She does not have any time left. She then asked if she might travel to Disney World and again was told not right now but maybe in six months. She knows that in six months she won't be able to travel.

Community members in our town have started a fund to help her have a vacation with her daughters while she is able to. I have sent a sizable donation.

I thought I would pass this along and with the power of The Wall maybe help get the fund available. If you think you could spare five or ten, then the address will be at the bottom of the post.

Life is what happens to you when your busy making other plans.

My prayers and thoughts to those who have lost ones close to them. I had several small scares last week. Both my wife and my daughter had to have biopsies. Both were thankfully benign, but it makes you stop and think and take stock. To share and help is to give thanks. WW

I lost my Mom to cancer while I was fairly young. Great Mom's are irreplaceable, and mine was one of the best. That was over 25 years ago now and I still miss her.

I wish this family all the best in this very difficult time.
