Suspect many of you have web sites.

I,ve been thinking about a web site for years, and plan on doing one soon. Any suggestions? How many of you have a web site? Links to pictures of your jobs? I would like to look as some more to decide what to include in mine.

    thanks in advance,
    Steve

    Well............................................................

I first started off with my "mini-website" called find a professional here at heating help. It gave me the impetus to build on top of that. I had had an advertisment for a company called Every Contractor that built websites. One Sunday afternoon when my brother Bart was in my barn/office we just "went for it." It took many hours to what I wanted, but it was worth it. I have modified and added to it many times over the last 4-5 years. In fact, I am ready to add many new sections on "green" things. I think the two biggest things are : Pictures of your work and testimonials. Someone once said to me that more than 4-5 testimonials is "a waste." I have 50 now and will keep going. Having a website will definitely seperate you for the pack out there. Clients have a lot more to go on than just your word or a recommendation. This whole world and industry is in the midst of Sea-Changes. Having a solid website gets us the "better" clients and the jobs we all drool over. Fell free to email me if I can help. web site

I had a professional web designer put mine together for less than 1000 including registration & first year maint.
My annual maint will then be 160. If you're interested, I'll give you his name. He reccommends at least monthly updates ( adding a picture set or some other news)
    Good Luck with it.
We use our website with our existing customers to direct them to a photoset that contains something they may want in their home.
    Chris.
