I know the feeling.I've missed a lot of seminars because I was to busy. Now I've come to the conclusion that if you stand still the industry will pass us by.If you decide to go give me a call,we'll hook up for a coffee.

Hi guys, if anybody has been thinking of a new sprinter mine is now 7 months old and I have had good luck with it! The fuel economy has been very good and it seems very well thought out! If someone has questions about this van please feel free to ask and I will help all I can!

    Nice

That sure is a sharp looking rig, Trevor :)

  • I will figure out the milage, it has been consuming 11 ltr per 100 km, I will post the miles per gallon as soon as I figure it out, if somebody is really good at this, please feel free to post! These vans are much cheaper in the US than Canada but even up here it ends up being very economical! Fuel, maint etc!

    Regarding sprinters

I have an 05, 06, & 07. The 05 & 06 get appx 18-19 mpg while the 07 is appx 16-17mpg. Great vans although, reliable and nice to drive. Nice looking van Trevor.

    snow

How is it in the snow? We will be replacing vans (hope not too soon) and were thinking of chevy full size AWD for getting up and down mnts.

    Also what's towing capacity?

    Thanks

  • it isn't great in the snow, I put on snow tires and find the snow tires make a huge difference, well worth it! there is a all wheel drive unit in europe that i hear may be available here in 08 but very expensive option and there are companies in the US doing these conversions already. I dont know why vans are bad in snow now, i gues it is because of the loss of a possi trac diff, most dont even have limited slips any more! this van uses a traction control system, the better the tires the better it seems to work!

hay Tim, I drive like the driver on the show driving miss daisy when in town! i need to, the drivers in london are crazy! this could account for the difference! Driving slow is also my way to remain calm cool and collective on the job sites, it is like laying on the beach with palmtrees for a few moments every day! On the highway I drive at a good speed but I dont gain any mpg

    Tim ?

How have the repairs been on these vechicles Tim? Needed many? Any more expensive than the Ford or Chevys?

    Great looking truck Trevor!

    Thanks, Rich L

    so expensive!

I'm shopping and getting prices in the high 30 thousand range for a basic 2500 short WB. Does that sound right. It's about 10 thousand more than a Ford or Chevy.

I think they need some competition. I see Ford had a Transit in Europe that looks near identical.

  • Hi Hotrod, mine cost $49000 CAD, the extra high roof was a little over $2000! The cheapest place in the world to buy a Sprinter as far as I have ever heard is the United States! I think if the Transit came it would be about the same price. But about 10,000 more sounds bang on!

  • Hi Dobber, I think I will be going! Viessmann has sent me tickets and I am very interested in the solar, but it has been very busy lately!
