Proper Oil Piping

Looking for information or a resource to consult to learn the proper way to pipe multiple (2) appliances on a common indoor storage tank.
The existing installation is using 3/8" copper that is tee'd and fed to the two (2) appliances (oil-powered upflow furnace (Beckett fuel unit) and a Ford/Carlin water heater with a Webster. The system has developed intermittent lockouts of the primary control(DHW)and the oil line to the water heater has a kink.
I recommended new individual oil supply tubing to each appliance. But I am not sure of method and need for an OSV.
The tank is in good shape. I was going to:
1- reuse existing tank, shut-off valve at tank bottom and oil filter, General 1A-25
2- install a new manifold after the filter, 3/8 black iron and tee off for each burner
Do I need an OSV and should I use 3/8" or 1/2" for the laterals. The appliances are 20 feet away from the tank on the same elevation. Do I need a valve at the manifold for each tee for ease of filter maintenance?

oil line
my preference would be after the firomaticshut off on the tank a manafold then separate shut offs an spin on filters then 3/8 oil lines to each unit oil line protected of course0 -

With that short of a run I wouldn't go through the trouble of 2 separate lines to the tank . A 3/8 OD oil line should be more than enough to run 2 residential appliances . In fact , we see alot of homes with a boiler and heater on one 1/4 inch line with longer runs . Not that it's right , it's just what we come across .
I'd install a regular oil filter at the tank along with the OSV and 2 separate spin on filters at the individual units . Or just one spin on and tee the units after it . And like Ed said , protect the oil line with cement or sleeve it .0 -
lock outs
one oil tank ,two appliances, overhead oil line. water heater lock out first thing in morning after night of heating unit operation . will the restriction of the oil filter cause enough vacuum to pull air threw the water heater pump seal0 -

I have run across one that when both units ran one pump would be a bit stronger thamn the other or had less vacuum so it pulled air back through the weaker pump/system and that is why I always tee them at the tank with seperate lines0
