bleeding wall convector?

I've installed these before. Drill into piping and use some silver solder to install. Cumbersome but rather easy to install and the tubing with the schrader is annealed so you can bend out of the way

bleeding my system?
*Cant get the air out of New Convector!!*
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I replaced an old wall convector with a new turbonics.
First problem I noticed, after it was installed was the bleeder on the unit is below the coils/fin tubes?? Whats up with that? and to boot its on the return. So I called the company and they tell me to get the bigger model cause they have them set up at the highest point. Yeah thanks after I bought 5 units!!
What is happening when I try to bleed I get hot water up to the relief and thats it (on the return)
First off I believe I have a mono line with older tees. not the mono type tees. I have tried pumping water backwards in the system at the boiler. no luck! I think I may need to do this when its all cooled down. (not sure)
All the other older units have the bleeders up high above the coils and bleed nicely.
I really dont want to take it all apart. So I may try and put a little hole and plug on the high point if I can find the tiny fitting I need. I did find a refrigeration pin plug(that would work) but seems a bit bulky.
what do you pros have to suggest?
Could use some alternate suggestions!0 -
Can you put a ball valve between the gozinta and gozouta fitting
cause if you can you should. True monoflow tee systems require a pump with mas oompf.
If you can't get and maintain good flow, it COULD be an air problem. Mono system are a beast of a different color.
METhere was an error rendering this rich post.
