It depends on which thread the reply was made to. If you are returning, the "new" replies usually have red symbol in the left column. Other than that I don't know what to tell you.......

This may have been asked already, but why can't the threads within a topic be in chronological order. They tend to make a lot less sense when randomly on the screen!0 -
depends on how you reply to topic
if you hit post new message to this topic at the top it will be chronological and shows way to the left
if you hit reply tin any message it will be after that message and indented. That is why some replies keep moving to the right. At least that is what I think happens.. Ruthe0 -

sometimes they get outta whack. I replied to one the other day and it replied to one about four posts further down.
The Amish heater one. I replied to a top ten list, and my reply showed up about three or four posts further down.
Edit: I just went and looked at it and it does seem that the order is correct, so once again it appears I am full of baloney.0 -
