    You get 'pre-approved' customers

That are looking for the best (rock bottom) price.

You get the honor of paying for the chance.

It seems to work for some people, but it doesn't fit my business plan.

    We used them

It sucked. Every day we got calls it sounded great at first. I went to home after home estimating. At least two a day. Lots of late nights puting together numbers. I was really exited about growth. Two weeks later no response from any of the bids. Our follow up calls showed it was all about the bottom doller every time. We stoped after two months. I suppose if you are a great sales man and can sell your company as worth every dime it could work ok.

    Service Magic

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE RESULTS!!!!!!!! It was a waste of money for us. NOBODY ever bought anything! That is one downfall of internet shopping/information there is nothing stopping a person from filling in some blank spaces and hitting the send key. I mean how careful could a potential customer be screened by SM. You would be WAY better off getting a FAP ad here. Find a kids softball team and sponsor them, you will get local work and help the kids to boot! I am sure some of the biz owners here could share some simple/inexpensive marketing plans that work.
