auto fill trouble prone?

I am being told the auto filler are trouble prone and the float can jamb. Thus, it was suggested that I continue manually filling the boiler twice a week on my new system. Is there really no reliable way to have the auto fill functionality? On my 1910s boiler I can understand, but in 2008 there has got to be a better way.
Any particular auto filler recommendations? The Hydrolevel VXT was previously suggested, but if there are less error prone options I am happy to hear them. (Or is the Hydrolevel just the controller?)

If your filling a new boiler twice a week you have major problems0 -
I agree. I should have said check it twice a week if there is no auto fill.0 -
