thermoacoustic heating on it's way?

I read about the troubles they had getting the chamber shape right on that unit, must have been 5 or 6 years ago now. They don't mention it in the article directly but it used less power than a comparable conventional unit.

Not sure what was up with the temperatures quoted, obviously a decimal missing or something.
