    ok I'll bite...

what is the box feeding into the boiler from the floor next to the water heater....?

My guess is a make up water feed station... Am I right?

Nice install. I have been thinking about buying a pipe bender too. Do you think it saves you money on fittings?

    Very nice install.

I love the swooping turns. I have a bender but have not used it enough to get proficient with it. I find it takes me too much time to get it just right and it's quicker/cheaper to just slap a propress fitting on and give it the squeeze. I have used it some though and it's lots-o-fun. ;-). WW

    Axiom

    Am I correct?
I have specified them and like their simplicity.

Are those curvo bends to go around the expansion tank or to support it? Curious. Does not seem strong enough to hold it should it be waterlogged.

    prestige

yes its an axiom glycol fill station, the curvo is a great tool especially if you have the room for the bends,1 1/4 90's can get expensive, sometimes its just perfect for small offsets, does take a little practice when doing multiple bends on single run of pipe.thats 1/2 pipe curved around exp tank and screwed into 2 x 4 studs it should hold, have a hard time finding god way to mount and support exp tanks sometimes

    Nice work Vince!

Looks Great! It's been awhile, did you get everything all up and running at home, I am sure that Mechanical Room looks like Art too! Hey something you may not have heard about or seen yet. We launched a brand new control (Black Box) at ASHRAE, the Climate Control Multifunction or CC-M, it does a ton of stuff but, regarding snow melting, it can do 2 snow melt zones (something to keep in mind when you have that North/South or East/West situation.) I also have some Hydronic Controls Training Classes and a Snow Melt Class coming up in the Chicago Market in May, the Midwest tour kicks off in Chicago and there's a bunch of cities I'll be hitting. I am finalizing those details still but, I'll make sure the LTA boys keep you in the loop. Are you in the loop regarding the Vegas Convention? I have yet to see the list, but we have several more controls that we will be launching there, including the CC-N which can do up to 4 Snow Melt Zones along with a laundry list of things, I have several under the radar now. Another cool feature is you'll be able to keep tabs on the system anywhere with the CC-N, as long as you have internet access.

    Check out the ARGCO.COM

They make awsome clamps up to 24" for tanks, etc.
If you are interested, send me a note and I will send you some pics. Paul Rohrs uses them frequently.

    Thanks,

  • argco

Hay thanks Rob, these are some handy clamps! I will source them in canada! Usually I hang the expansion tank off the airscoop but I definately see some uses for there products!
  • delta p

Hi Duffy, I noticed the system is zoned but there isnt any differential bypass, does this small pump opperate like the big stratos pumps where you can run it off delta P? The smaller pumps aren't here yet but it is nice to see them in the US! How is the cost? Have you been having good luck with them?

    exp. tank support

    Hi Rob,
I went to their website. Are you using the duct supports or are they something different. I guess I will give them a call.
    Thanks,
