What is the EDR for a Gurney 2 section block style radiator?

7 sq.ft. EDR per section or 14 sq.ft. for your two-section rad. Checked ratings from a number of different mfgrs. and all of similar (but not identical) size had the exact same rating.

It's a fairly ornate Gurney and most likely an uncommon one that can be lengthened by sections. I don't know whether they had tappings high for a another section on top or not.

    That's a \"wall radiator\"

just use the appropriate charts for the height and width of each section. These were pretty much standardized between brands. Your rad has 2 sections.

Correct, as I knew. I just was looking for exact edr values. It seems there's a chart that is standardized for these wall rads that I am unaware about. Where can the chart be found, in the Library somewhere?

Can you please provide width and height?

For the sake of engineers/installers sanity and replacement, manufacturers generally did their best to ensure that similar radiators had the same EDR rating.

In the case of wall (or panel) iron rads, the similarity will be from width and height. In the case of column, tube and even "slenderized" rads it will be height and number of columns or tubes.

As far as I can tell EDR has never been an "exact" rating.

Why? Because it is IMPOSSIBLE for rads of different design to perform exactly the same in differing conditions.

As best as I can tell, EDR has always been rather

True. I was thinking someone had the gurney fitter book that had these rads in there since this being the Wall, anything was possible for such a request. In that case the rad is approximately 4" deep x 21" high x 23 " long. Thanks.
