    Try google

I googled "doube tapped bushing" and came up with quite a list. Check it out. I usually try to always buy from local supply houses, but with something special like this, the internet is your friend. Saves alot of driving around, too.

That is a strange and appears infrequently used size.

    Most oil is 1-1/2-2"

curious, what do you use 1" for?

A bung is a stopper, but why then do you need the double tapped threads on the inside also then?

    internal risor, something I'm missing?

    Interested, please explain

    I am in New Hampshire...

This is a older steam radiator that is 6' long. It has 2 available tapping on the right side. I need to convert this to hot water...if I dont add a 71" x 1/2" piece of copper to one of the tappings the water will short cycle back w/o getting all the way through...the bushing will allow me to do this...kpc

I have used a brass reducing bushing for this purpose some come with a recess that will accept 1/2 copper pipe on the inside to solder. Im sure 5' would be long enough depending on the direction of flow.

    hope this helps

    Machine shop

KPC, how about you buy a regular bushing and have a machine shop thread the back side. I was a machinist before getting in the trades and can tell you it would be a very simple job and should be pretty cheap.
