    tankless gas water heater

    has anyone installed tankless gas water heater in a crawl space? If so did the home owner complain that the unit was loud? any other reasons why it would not be a good idea to install on in a crawl space. I would be using a noritz unit with direct vent (seales combustion).

    I have and no they didn't, that is unless your gas pressure is low on start up or it's in the windy side of the house then they really like to growl.

    I wouldn't...

    Seen too many 3 to 4 foot tall swiming pools, formerly known as crawl spaces. Leaky relief valves, frozen and broken heat exchangers etc...
