Given equal availability of fuel, and ignoring cost of fuel or materials, why would one choose gas over oil firing for as steam boiler?
What is the piping difference for the near-boiler piping?

except for where the pipes attached to the boiler near boiler piping will be the same as long as manufacturers piping diagrams are followed0
