Is there a gas-fired steam boiler with tapping for indirect HW?

Hi,
I am a homeowner and I am replacing my oil-fired, one-pipe steam boiler. I have an existing indirect hot water tank which I plan to keep. I am considering both oil and gas. For oil-fired, I decided on Burnham MegaSteam, which has a tapping for an indirect. Are there any gas-fired steam boilers that have this feature or do most require customization?

has these tappings. This is their 8 series oil-fired boiler which is also offered by the factory with a power gas burner. Smith is one of the extremely few boiler makers to offer something like this, but it makes sense because the thermal efficiency is better than the usual atmospheric gas boiler. Also, you can switch fuels without buying a new boiler.

Unfortunately, it's not a 3-pass boiler like the MegaSteam.....

The Independence is the model the gas company is offering at a reduced price if you convert. I looked at the link you sent and in the install manual, it seems to only mention the Alliance indirect, which is made by Burnham. Does this imply that that it is incompatible with other brands?

The Weil McLain EG series is available with a tankless.

They also have the largest riser tappings in the biz. IMO, this alone makes them the best possible choice for a steamer.
