What control package did you wind up using on the Vitodens 100? I know you were searching high and low for a suitable control package.

Well I'm not HeatBoy .... but I did have a beer with him on a bus-ride through Germany awhile back. The VM 0-10V Input Module combined with a Tekmar 270 Control works pretty slick.

    Still thinking, Paul.

I am leaning towards the combination Bob has mentioned, except.....

Bob, that was an unforgetable trip. I haven't been on a bus with that much adult beverage sliding up and down the isle since!

This project has some things that I'm not sure how to efficiently control. So I'm asking for advice here.

Some years ago the owner installed his own radiant in his new addition ( 1500 square), under my tutelage, and to keep initial cost down, a 75 gallon gas fired water heater was selected as the heat source. The existing part of his home has a gas furnace. The radiant is controlled by a ZCP with a HX to keep things correct and is split into two zones.

A condensing boiler and indirect are, naturally, going to be the heart of the system. The ZCP already has an on board reset to control the radiant, although it will have an extra pump when I use it in a closed system. I am thinking the new air handler with coil (oversized) will have to be the prime operator for the condensing boiler. Then slave the ZCP off the Caleffi hydro link that will have the air system and indirect also. The 270 will modulate the burner for the higher temp air system.

    Any of this sound OK?
