Marianne and I spent most of yesterday in NYC. We saw Celtic Woman at Radio City Music Hall last evening, and they were wonderful and magical, as usual.

We spent the night in an a hotel near Times Square, thank you very much. We slept in and then went to the parade today. It was lovely. The last time I saw the parade in NYC, I was in it, and that was 1961. Been meaning to get back ever since but life happens. So . . .

We had lunch with our daughter, Meghan, in an Irish bar on Third Avenue. Meg went back to work and Aunt Lucy, who is wonderful, joined us for the rest of the day.

And each day is precious, and you should learn to spend your life with generations and just appreciate being on this side of lawn, in case you haven't already figured that out.

Life is good.
