what are the issues with installing a 7.5mf run capacitor on a condensor fan motor requiring a 3.0mf capacitor. This is a commercial freezer condenser with two fan motors and the temperature in the freezer was dropping .

If
If by chance you even get the motor running, it will soon over heat and go out on overload.0 -

You are changing the whole voltage/current, lead/lag, out-of-phase,power factor thing. The motor will over heat.A run cap can be over sized by only one size, a 4 for a 3;a 5 for a 4 ; a 6 for a 5 ; a 7 or a 7.5 for a 6,then in the near future put the proper size in .You might get a little lucky if the cap is mounted on the cond fan motor body, because of the direct contact of the cond air .0
