    SSU-119SB or something else?

Getting ready to add SDHW with boiler backup. Considering an HTP SSU-119SB. We have one at work. Seems like a nice unit. Anyone with experience to share?

Any other similar products I should be considering?

    Many thanks.

    dual coil tanks

Ok. Here we go. Oventrop, Stiebel Eltron, Viesmann, Amtrol,Buderus, Rheem(single coil with elec element in top zone), Laars, Trendsetter, Metalpres, vaughncorp. These are the ones I've found in my research. I am leaning towards the stiebel or viessman

We have had good experiences with The SSU line including the 119 SB. We just specified our first SSU 119 SE. Great tanks and good price point for stainless construction.

    Consider Heat-Flo

also. They have a nice smooth large diameter stainless coils. They will also add a 1" port for back up electrical element use.

I think Lochinvar offers that Mega Store tank also. not sure about dual coils.

hot rod. Nice looking tank by Heatflo........ in your opinion the fact that the supply and return piping for the bottom coil passes through the tank and out the top, Will this effect solar efficiency?.

    thanks Brendan

    very little

but it does put all the piping inside the tank for a little extra HX surface. Makes for a nice clean install with all top piping connections.

It seems a better way to support the coils as they bounce in shipping and strain side connections.
