NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE APPRENTICES

Plumbers Local #24 Education Fund

Applications: For a five year apprentice program in the Plumbing industry will be available Tues. to Fri. April 15, 2008 to April 18, 2008 and Tues. to Fri. April 22, 2008 to April 25, 2008 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Applications will also be available Thurs., April 17, 2008 and Thurs., April 24, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Applications must be completed by the applicant at the Local #24 Training Center, 986 So. Springfield Ave., Springfield, NJ 07081. A total of 150 applications will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

Requirements: Birth Certificate, High School Diploma with OFFICIAL transcripts or Equivalency (GED) with OFFICIAL transcripts, Social Security Card and a Valid Driver's License must be presented to receive an application. Non returnable copies will be made. All applicants must be at least 18 years. High school seniors meeting the above criteria may also apply. Successful applicants will be required to pass a drug screening test.

What are the wages and benefits for journeyman after the apprentice completes the program at this time and possibly in five years?

What is the size of your local and the JM/Ap ratio??? Do you have your own trade school?

Not real sure of the ratio between JM & Ap but currently there are apox. 800+ active members. Local 24 does have their own school. If you need additional info, call the union's office @ (973)912-0092.
