banging pipes
My third floor radiators only heat when the pressure is above 1.5 to 2 lbs., and there is always banging in the pipes in the walls between the second and third floors prior to the radiators heating. I have two pipe steam heat, recently bought the house, and am not that familiar with the system. I read the "We Got Steam Heat" book, and think it may be faulty steam traps...any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! I'd like to get the same nice, even heat throughout the house.
Thanks,
Steve0
