I am installing a 75 gallon hot water heater in a residential home in Manlius. Does it need to be replaced with the flame arrester design or can I use the same model that is in the home?

Was not aware that you have the option. J. Lockard0 -
As far as I know
you can not purchase the older style. All must be the flame arrestor style.
