Dormont invented the stainless steel flexible appliance gas connector

    Was it?

First flex I ever saw was on an old Dunham-Bush high-velocity AC system, 3" as I recall, probably ATCO

    a lot of my problem

    is from improper installation.

Not adequately stretching the duct before it's run.
Making sharp turns with the flex.
    Not supporting it well.

I've seen too many slap and run systems here. I have been able to 'tighten' up the duct runs and remove sags.

    I have installed both

And I have to say i really feel that the ATCO product is stronger. It is more tear resistant in the core and the vapor barrier. Your not a Hart&Cooley rep are you:)

    Of Course I Am

Have sold both Atco & Hart & Cooley, R-Value is R-Value, just would prefer that H&C be sold and installed...

If it makes you feel any better I don't mind hart and cooley Their products are up there in quality. SOme of the flex I see on track and commercial jobs feels like it would fall apart if you tried to move it.
