I have been told it was first introduced by ATCO. I dont want to put my foot in my mouth though. Any body know for sure.0 -
don't know
Who invented it, but there are times I think whoever it was should be shot......
Sorry to hijack the thread.0 -
What don't you like about it I live in urban norther California. without extreme temps and vermin tearing it up it lasts longer than i do.0 -
flexible what?
Dormont invented the stainless steel flexible appliance gas connector
Ventinox invented the stainless steel chimnney liner
If flex air duct, yes, I think ATCO.

Yes I am refering to flexable air duct. I tried to find it on line with no luck.0 -
Was it?
First flex I ever saw was on an old Dunham-Bush high-velocity AC system, 3" as I recall, probably ATCO0 -
a lot of my problem
is from improper installation.
Not adequately stretching the duct before it's run.
Making sharp turns with the flex.
Not supporting it well.
I've seen too many slap and run systems here. I have been able to 'tighten' up the duct runs and remove sags.0 -
i think it was invented by
mr visquine slinky0 -
haha
hahaha
You are one funny guy Mr. White...0 -

Lazy duct crew. J. Lockard0 -
Hart & Cooley
Manufacturers the best Flex, Grilles, Registers, Diffusers, B-Vent, All-Fuel, AL29-4C Stainless...
www.hartandcooley.com0 -
I have installed both
And I have to say i really feel that the ATCO product is stronger. It is more tear resistant in the core and the vapor barrier. Your not a Hart&Cooley rep are you:)0 -
Of Course I Am
Have sold both Atco & Hart & Cooley, R-Value is R-Value, just would prefer that H&C be sold and installed...0 -
If it makes you feel any better I don't mind hart and cooley Their products are up there in quality. SOme of the flex I see on track and commercial jobs feels like it would fall apart if you tried to move it.0
