Could I ask you for some jobsite pictures?

Hi! I have to do a paper for my trade school about a few things. One of them is how important trade coordination is on construction projects. I've noticed on my job that we're having a lot of problems (although my foreman doesn't seem to care much) with the insulating contractors. We've been putting up our no hub pipe with these extra long shielded clevis hangers with 2x4's in them to gap the pipe. All our other pipe is on trapezes with strut clamps. I've noticed that as the insulators come after us they pull the 2x4's out to push their insulation in, and mess up the pitch on all our pipe. Not by a little bit, either. On the copper it gets really funny. The insulators actually pull our strut clamps off, throw them away, and drop the trapeze an inch or so to fit the fiberglass around the pipe.
Anyway, I wanted to take some pictures but the one of the construction management guys started freaking out and told me to stop. He said I was stealing information about the job. Do any of you guys have pictures like what I'm talking about? Have you ever seen anything like this? I hope this is not an industry standard, but if it is maybe you can help me out. I think it would be a nice finishing touch to my paper if I could show some pictures from here to California, you know what I mean?
Thanks so much and talk to you later,
Keith

i imagine that your foreman is a vet of the biz, and is well seasoned to the delicacies between trades of a of a multi-trade operation.

and while i can understand why mgmt freaked about you taking pics, we had a lead contractor that took pics of everyone's work at the end of the day, and also made copious notes of it all. he was hated by many, and he was furious when his notes were stolen one day, and put a reward out for info or their return

I don't have photos, but a good insulator will cut in around the strut clamps. Available are clamps that have a small piece of insulation block, to keep the insulation continous.
As for the drainage , cut small lengths of insulation, that fit within the clevis hangers saddles,in lieu of 2x4 / This way insulator can butt up to the hangers without messing up pitch.
