Furnace starting problem

Is the blower going off and on or is it trying to ignite that many times before making it? How long has it been since it was last checked. If it's been awhile be cautious and pay for a furnace inspection and repair. The life you save could be your own, and/ or your family's.

Furnace starting problem
My 40 year-old gas- fired furnace goes off and on seven or eight times before it finally stays on. The heat is fine. It shuts off finally when the room is warm. I hardly ever use the furnace, but might use it more in the future. Is this an easy, inexpensive repair?0 -
furnace problem
You could have a problem with the fan & limit control, or it sounds like you could have a cracked heat exchanger. You should have a pro check it out.

The furnace is always very loud, so I assume it is the blower. There is always heat blowing out the vents at each attempt to start.0
