Aqua Products reverse cycle chiller for radiant flooring?

Hey Bryan, I am located just north of Seattle so our climates are similar. We have a 2 of these out there and they are performing great. We have numbers similar to Geothermal applications.

I wouldn't run them above 120 degrees which is perfect for Warmboard but you may have some extra design considerations for the air handler.

Aqua products is pretty vague on the buffer tank size. We have been using 2 gallons of buffer to every 1000 BTU's with much success.

Really it's pretty simple when it comes down to it. If you can do Geo you can do a reverse chiller. Email me if you want more detail.

I'm in the final stages of planning for a renovation of my home in Portland, OR, including HVAC system. I'm considering installing radiant floor heat (possibly Warmboard) on the main floor (approximately 1,900 sq. ft.) and using forced air heat for the daylight basement living area (approximately 1,000 sq.ft.). Thus, I'm interested in the potential use of the York/Aqua Products Company system (York heat pump combined with a reverse cycle chiller from Aqua Products) that would provide hot water for the radiant floor system and hot air for the forced air system downstairs, plus provide cooling air for the entire house.

Anyone have any experience with this system? Any thought/comments, etc.?

    Thank you.
