Hi All, There are two of these devices installed on my heating system. I checked the TACO website and can't seem to match up what I have with what's on their site. Does anyone have any info on these decvices? Most importantly, how does one adjust the thumbscrew at the top? Thanks,Roland

Roland that device is a flow check valve, used to prevent gravity circulation in your system. The knurled knob at the top is used to manually open the check.

The Taco 241 Flo-check valve is commonly used in a hot water system when zoning with circulators. The primary function is to prevent thermal siphoning. For your reference I attached the catalog data, and the instruction sheet. Hopefully this helps you.
