Long time wet head and friend Ed Snyder passed away this morning after complications resulting from back surgery this past week.

    Ed

I just met Ed in the past couple months, and he was one of the genuine Nice Guys. My condolences to his family and co-workers.

I knew Ed pretty well. We would go to lunch once in a while. Great guy. He will be missed.

Here is the funeral arrangement notice.

    Edward G. Snider Jr.
    Snider, Edward G., Jr.
Ed Snider, 55, died suddenly on Feb. 24, 2008. He is survived by his wife Christy; two daughters Sara, Kelly; one son, Brad; 4 sisters, Karen Tallant, Sharon Dye, Nan Larsen, Bev Caldwell; 1 brother, Joe Snider; 4 grandchildren. His parents, Edward & Esther Snider preceded him in death. He was a graduate of UNC. He was a high school teacher, owned and operated his own construction business, and worked for Dahl Denver for the past 15 years. A celebration of Ed's life will be held at 1:00 on Sat. Mar. 1st at Foothills Community Church (8270 W. 80th Ave.) in Arvada, CO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a college fund for Ed's grandchildren at 1st Bank in Westminster.

Ed will be missed by many. What's really scary is I am the same age as he was. Life is fleeting. Grab it while you can.

Yes, many of us are about the same age. What happened to Ed was not a usual thing, but it still reminds us of how frail life is.
