why don't they make wireless thermostats which use house wiring such as early intercoms which were plug and talk? usually no problem finding an outlet in any situation and surely no interference.nbc

    Wireless Tstat

Does anyone have any experience with wireless thermostats or have any recommendations. I recently repaired a poorly installed radiant floor heat system. Unfortunately the thermostats are in bad locations, i.e the small bathroom controlling half of the house. Due to cherry wood paneling and ceilings, we cannot run new wire to relocate. Thanks for your help.

    I have used

Honeywell wireless for bb. Stat and receiver on same floor.. Had problems w/ reception through three interior walls. Adjusted receiver for better "line of sight" and been fine since.

Be cautious. May or may not work depending on site conditions/steel/interference, etc. Uponor dropped their version. Factory told me too many variables in field were causing erratic signals.

Mr kenny Hope you do not have a ventstar unit, only trouble down the road. However you are in luck, within 1 month white rodgers has a new wireless remote sensor and it looks very promising. All the best

    wireless t/stats

I've used about a dozen honeywells & a few Bryant/Carrier wireless t/stats. Never had a single problem, but never did install one in a house w/ metal studs.

Thanks for all the information. I will look into Honeywell and White Rogers.
