Do yous guys all use a local shirt maker or an on-line source for your company shirts? Tired of XL's being a large at best...Did you make your own logos?

I use a local guy. Has samples of shirts on site to check for fit and quality. He was a 1 man operation and now has grown to a 4 man operation in the last 2 years, great prices and even better service. He designed shirts and truck graphics, which he also does. He takes picture of vehicle and superimposes graphics onto truck so you can ok prior to having anything done.0 -
logo gear
Tim,
All the wallies have been a big help with my heating questions. I work for an apparel/promo/printing company. We put logos on tees, polos, hats, Carhartt apparel, etc. for both big and small businesses. Here are my quick thoughts that may help you.
1) Small orders (like small plumbing fixes) are tough because there is not much money in the order and my fixed cost is the same as a 500 shirt order.
2) I do small orders really as a "favor" for people I like. I still charge $ and often the setup costs make the per piece price high but in our case we do it right or not at all. Customer satisfaction is our top priority.
3) Find a source you like. On-line or local. Whatever works for you. Make sure they care about the end result.
4) If you would like help on something I'll be happy to provide my expertise and a quote if needed.

the problem with the catalog order
When they say it tall man size, its mean just taller than the migdets size... One of my local guy said to try everylong sleeves shirts and then bring them in for logo printing on them to save all the hassels of misapportion of shirts in sizewize..0 -
Look for..
or go to www.embroidme.com. They have franchises all over the country. They charge you a one time fee to digitize your logo..cost me $ 101..then in the future you can bring in your own apparel (sp?) or buy theirs. There's no set up charge or a minimum charge, either. The only thing I found is there is a price break on, I think, 12 items or more. I found one in a shopping center that is one block away from a street I drive on almost everyday. They also have all the pens/hats/duffle bags, etc. I like Carhartt stuff, and I have a bunch of Buderus, etc. shirts, that they add my name and logo to. Very reasonably priced, and the guy that owns the franchise is a relative of a friend that owns a supply store I frequent. Small world after all.0
