baseboard performance curves

Do you find it as humorous as I do that most heating... "curves", seem to follow a pretty much "straight" line.?
I will say that when I show them to Savvy customers, they seem to see the same. Who am I to argue? This temp. ...that temp...pretty F=IN' linear...
But what do I know....I'm just a cellar dweller. Chris

baseboard performance curves
Does anyone have a chart showing the btuhr output at different temperatures. I'd like it for slant fin, but anyone's will do. I know I have it somewhere in my library but for the life of me I can't seem to find it.0 -
Slant Fin's Web Site
has all you need but it is in tables, not curves.
If you do make it into a chart (by hand or Excel) it will appear to be pretty linear, at least when I did it once before. Slant-Fin does list outputs for lower water temperatures so extends the plotting range.
Most manufacturers will also have tabular data on line too.
Tube size, fin size, spacing, number of tiers, enclosure stack height...those and other factors influence output appreciably. Flow rate not as much as you think.0 -
