I sure didn't know until today.
The man either wrote, or co-wrote, multiple Motown hits like:
Please Mr Postman, Reach Out (I'll Be There), Baby I Need Your Lovin', Come See About Me, Can I Get A Witness, Jimmy Mack, Baby Love, Back In My Arms Again, I Can't Help Myself, Stop, In The Name Of Love, Heat Wave, and many, many more.
The man was a song writing machine, was a major force behind the success of Motown, and is responsible for much of the great music to come out of the 60's.
Today he is 67.
