    Cape Girardeau, MO. 10:30 cst

    24F and raining steadily with the smallest tree branches at least 1" diameter with ice. Limbs falling everwhere. Will become MUCH worse if it doesn't stop SOON!!!!

    Am taking pics, but don't have proper cable to upload.

    Power out in many places and from the looks of the branches hanging over the lines that feed my house, I won't have it for long...

    10:42 and rain increasing. Large trees are being uprooted and this town is filled with large trees.

    power out yet?

    we had that sort of ice storm in omaha ten years ago.that is why i have now installed a plug end on the new 1-pipe gravity system boiler circuit feeding through a 1500 VA UPS such as you could have for your computer.the plug will also enable quick connection to a generator.the UPS seems to say it could run for 10hrs but i haven'tput it to the test yet.nbc

    We got a bit of ice in Baltimore

    but the sleet changed to rain, and most roads were OK. Nevertheless, the Board of Elections ordered that the polls stay open until 9:30 PM so everyone would have time to vote.
