Williamson Gas Fired STeam Boiler

I am getting bids on replacing my boiler for steam heat.
I got one for a Williamson Gas Fired Steam Boiler Model No. GSA-175-N-IP. Is this a decent boiler? I'm just a homeowner who knows a little something, however, I never heard of this company.
Also, I'm in Honesdale, PA is anybody interested in giving a bid on a boiler replacement over the summer?

    Re-Badged Weil- Mclain

    Jim,

Basically you Williamson boiler is a re-badged Weil-Mclain. Same exact boiler as the Weil-Mclain EGH, but just a different color. Why are you replacing the boiler?

I just bought this house and am remodelling it. New windows, doors, drywall etc. The boiler looks old and I am sure not very efficient, plus it is the same unit that heats my hot water. I would like a modern, more efficient boiler and install a stand-alone water heater.

More important is your installer knowledge of steam heat . First things first get a copy of " We got steam heat! " . You can find it on this site . After you read it you will be better able to choose a installer. I give a copy on every steam bid . There is nothing like an educated consumer .
