    The culrpit was electricity?

    Four young men died last week from carbon monoxide poisoning in Pennsylvania. They were overcome by gas from a generator used to run a space heater. What makes the story even sadder, in my opinion, is that the general media still doesn't 'get it.' The local TV anchor said the cause of death was an electric space heater. I know she was just reading someone else's words but none the less, it makes a joke of a very serious problem. The same writer probably believes that holding frogs causes warts.

    \"News\" isn't really news anymore

    it's strictly for entertainment, so they don't check facts the way they used to.

    I bet that same newscast led with a story on Britney Spears or Paris Hilton too.

    The story I got was the 4 guys met in college and wanted to rehab this house and flip it. You would think an educated person would know better.

    Just goes to show

    No matter how "educated" you are, it's the things you DON'T know, that will kill you.

    Truly sad that they died. Four lives snuffed out due to lack of knowledge. Four families plunged into grief because the deceased didn't understand how this killer works.

    Truly sad the the mainstream media doesn't seem to EVER get this right.

    Truly sad that basic education about things mechanical in nature is completely avoided and dismissed as unnecessary in our schools. They must feel it's not worth the effort........it only takes a few.............once in a while............
