If I pull the switch to off and let it snap back, boiler starts
Lately, my steam boiler is not coming on a lot of the time when the T-Stat calls for heat.
Upon inspection, I find the pressuretroll mercury switch tilted all the way back but it apparently is not making contact because if I pull the bulb foward and let it snap back the boiler fires right up. Sometimes I have to do this little flip the bulb thing twice.
Do I need a new pressuretroll or is there something I could fix with the switch?0 -
Do you have a multi meter???
If you don't, it's kinda hard to trouble shoot. The problem may not be the switch. It could be the load, or maybe a wiring connection some place.
METhere was an error rendering this rich post.
