Direct return vs. Parallel
The rule for direct return is "the first zone to leave the boiler is also the first to return."
In a parallel system you can have one system pump with multiple zones valves. The first zone served is also the first zone that returns.
We see this become an issue when zone valves that magicly open cause us to install DPBP valves.
Does the delta P issue that occures with direct return not exist with parallel piping ?
In the same way that you can't put too many zone valves on a transformer, how many zone valves can you put on one zone pump ?
