steam towel warmer

a 38-inch-tall radiator in the bathroom, you can hang a towel over that. Works pretty well- ask me how I know that......

    steam towel warmer

We have 1-pipe steam. Will be redoing a small bathroom. Can cast iron radiator be replaced with towel warmer sort of thing to warm both towels and the room? I checked slant-fin and WM... found radiators and baseboards, but no warmers. Any suggestions?

    Electric

I would install an electric towel warmer in that situation. The advantage is that you can control when the towels are warm by adding a timer. You certainly dont want to wake up your steam system in the summer just to warm towels in the morning. I recommend this even for houses with hot water heat. It's just not worth waking up the boiler and short cycling it to heat that small towel warmer, and with outdoor reset the towels may not even be that warm. Electric is the way to go.
