There's been some confusion in some of the posts.
Bruce Marshall is my friend for more than 20 years and he posts here under his full name.
Bruce M is Bruce Mandell and he posts under the nickname, "Bruce M."
Both guys are entitled to post but some people are confusing the two men, mistakenly attributing Bruce M's comments to Bruce Marshall. This isn't the case and I just wanted to make that clear.
Thanks.Retired and loving it.0 -
Thanks Dan
Although I figured that out early, perhaps others too.
I was not going to believe that if "Bruce M" was Bruce Marshall, why he would promote other boiler lines.
Its all about reading between the lines and a simple assembly of a small puzzle.0 -
Bruce M here to clarify
In a previous thread I made it clear that I am not Bruce Marshall. I have also made it clear that I do not work for any boiler manufacturer or any other company that is selling HVAC products. Any opinions that I have posted are my own and I have never received money or any other form of compensation to say good or bad things about a product. In addition, I should say that I expect those who do work for a company to support that company and it's products. Any employer has the expectation of loyalty from it's employees.0 -
Thanks, Bruce.
There's been some confusion in the industry and I appreciate your post. Thanks.Retired and loving it.0 -
Thanks Dan,
It's like a mistake in a headline and a retraction on page 47. Everyone remembers the headline.
Oh, and by the way GO PATS

Bruceski...

One Pipe Steam Heat Problems
I replaced an old steam valve beacuse steam was leaking from the valve, which stopped the leaking.
Before I installed the new valve, I noticed thick black sediment in the steel pipe about 7 inches below.
I did not want the problem to get worse, so I left it alone. Now with the new valve, it takes longer for that radiator to heat up.
I poured two bottles of vinegar into the boiler to help clean the rust in the pipes. Did not notice much of a difference.

???????
George,
Unless you are trying to figure out if your steam valve was installed by "Bruce Marshall" or "Bruce M", you may have posted to the wrong thread.
Edward A. (Ed) Carey,
I think the only Edward A. (Ed) Carey, too0
