Modification of Vacuum System

Options
I posted about a month ago regarding conversion of an old, failed vacuum system to a district pumped condensate system, either gravity and atmospheric before the new condensate receivers, or pumped and positively pressurized after. Perhaps 50 trap rebuilds latyer, the system works just fine. Here's why:

the original vacuum system was oversized for vacuum, allowing it to function adequately with atmospheric condensate.

the original system was slightly pitched in the direction of flow, although not as much as a normal gravity system.

In case you plan to do this, attention must be paid to these details, or the system could well end up undersized. Why would a person ever convert a vacuum system to atmospheric? Ask me, and I'll tell you how the decision was made.
