Burnham RV3 VS 3000 control

Can anyone tell me how to determine which is the problem, the VS 3000 control or the sensor?
I found a boiler up to temp, but could not get any temperatures above 80 degrees out. I found the plastic strap on the sensor had broken and the sensor had fallen off.
I thought, easy fix, reattached sensor but still same thing. Control only allows 42 volts to circ pump. How do I determine if its the sensor or the control?

I can't remember off hand but

Look in tech manual and find sensor resistance reading for it. Then Ohm it out and see what your resistance is. Also you have to make sure you place the sensor back on the pipe to the block in the right location. I think if memory serves me it should be right against the block on side of pipe. Hopefully Glenn Stanton will chime in also. Good luck, Tim

I did bypass the control and ramped the pump up to full speed, the boiler worked then. I just received a control and sensor today. Where do I find the values for the sensor?
