3-alarm apartment complex fire this morning.

3-buildings attached in a row & the end unit burned. Water line mains (cold, hot & recirc) running through the basement level had to be capped off to isolate the building destroyed so that the other two buildings could be reactivated. ProPress made valving off the two 1.5" and one 1/2" lines a breeze.

    where it shines Dave. I have found that just as any tool, you need to find where it fits best. We did a commercial DHW for a college and did it all in P/P. Ya know what ? It was friggin expensive for the fittings and I'm not sure it would have been better to do it sweat. A good tech can sweat pretty quickly.

    But a quick change out or an emergency like yours where there is dripping water. Bang .. great tool

    nothing like

    a Fire Chief holding up 24 families from moving back into their apartments (the two attached undamaged buildings) - until the water is back on - to put you under pressure to get-er-done!

    Turned out it was a guy trying to kill himself that set the fire in his own apartment. No one was hurt.
