Location/Installation of Pigtail
If one wants to install a vertical 180° pigtail in what is the usually designated site on the side of at least many Weil-McLain boilers, instead of the provided 90° pigtail which comes directly horizontally out of the boiler, can one install a nipple (or whatever) horizontally out from the boiler with a connection allowing attachment of the vertical 180° pigtail and then, of course, the vaporstat above that?0 -
I'd use a cross,
or at least a tee, rather than an elbow, so you can pull a plug or two and clean it out. With an elbow, it takes longer, because the control has to be disconnected and removed to clean the BRASS nipples that you are installing.
